OK, This is my 1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. This "car" was purchased new in 1940 my my Great-grandfather George Morey. My father was 10 when it came home. This has been passed down from my Great-Grandfather to my Grandmother, to my Aunt, to my father, and now to me. It was actually given to me by dad about 25 years ago. I have promised everybody, including myself, that i was going to restore it. Well, a couple weeks ago I started. In this blog, you will see a picture diary of what is going on. I hope to document each step.

First, I must thank some people. Dad, THANK YOU.. Stacy, THANK you. Jimmy, Thank you for parts. Scot, Thank you for love, support, and guidance when I hit a snag.

  1. Hi, my name is Jimmy, and I've been working on my Granddad's 1940 Master Deluxe—similar story actually! It was the first car he bought (he bought it used in 1954) and still has it. Now I'm trying to get it on the road again. I've been having a really tough time bleeding the brakes. Do you have any pointers on that? I'd love to get in contact about this—not many people are working on these old cars any more! If you'd be willing to help I'll give you my email and we could go from there.

    Thanks!
    Jimmy
